ECYouth

Ecyouth is the youth outreach of Encounter Church, dedicated to empowering teenagers surrounding our local church to achieve positive life outcomes, develop self-esteem, and build resilience and life skills. We have a number of events running throughout the year, including our weekly Friday night program and our annual youth camp.

Our Friday night program runs from 7pm to 9pm on Friday nights during the school term. Our youth program includes two types of Friday nights: elective nights, and service nights. Our electives, which are the main focus of our Friday nights, provide engaging diversional programs which guide young people towards meaningful avenues of purpose and skill. Whether it's cooking, woodwork, sign language, or budgeting, there’s something for every teenager to learn and engage with. Once a month, we hold a service night focused on biblical teaching & worship, offering a chance for students to grow spiritually. Our ecyouth café is also open on Friday nights, selling delicious dinners, snacks, and soft drinks at budget-friendly prices. Please note that this is a "lock in" event, meaning that once a teenager is signed in, they need parent permission to leave the premises (this is for their own safety).

Ecyouth also has a number of circles, which are small groups that gather together on a fortnightly basis to connect, build deeper friendships, and explore different topics of the Christian faith together.
